There is always something so calm about intimate weddings to me. One can enjoy the little details and meaningful gestures between the couple and their guests, who are mostly family.

Generally, there are not more than 15- 20 in attendance, so it’s really easy to watch everyone interact and for me, just be a fly on the wall and document the love!

A little BP backstory… This venue holds a special place in my heart and so many awesome memories.

When I was starting out in the wedding industry and earning my certification in wedding coordination one of the requirements was to shadow a seasoned wedding professional.

After diligently searching through the phone book (yes, you read that correctly 😝) and calling every wedding venue in the area, I finally connected with a venue owner who allowed me to work a wedding with her staff.

I met with her and the venue manager and agreed to work their next event and in exchange, they would let me soak up all the knowledge I could! She must have seen something in me because she offered me an incredible opportunity as a venue manager that evening.

Although my time at Chappel Des Fleurs. eventually ended, the invaluable lessons I learned from my clients, staff, and the wonderful owner have profoundly influenced my photography career, especially as a wedding photographer. I think of my time there often and love that I have the experience as a venue manager & professional certified planner to serve our Blackall Photography family. These experiences allow me to offer our clients a unique level of service that sets us apart from other photography companies.
